CARE TIPS FOR YOUR LIFE LONG FRIEND
Our tips to keep your TRAPPER jacket looking good:
- You must waterproof your TRAPPER jacket before wearing it for the
first time! Nevertheless, a leather jacket is not a raincoat.
- Has your TRAPPER jacket still got wet?
Then simply dry it at room temperature on a wire hanger. And do not expose it to heat. That will make the leather rough and decayed! - Whether wet or dry. Never keep your TRAPPER jacket in airtight covers (e.g. plastic bags). The leather could get mouldy. Leather is a living material and needs air to breathe.
- Always test leather care products first on an invisible area inside the jacket.
- Never bring your TRAPPER jacket in contact with strong solvents.
- Ironing: Your TRAPPER jacket has an authentic look, which should not be “smoothed out”. However, if it is still necessary, iron the jacket from the left at woollen temperature. Protect your TRAPPER jacket from intense light, which may cause the leather to fade.
- If your TRAPPER jacket needs to be cleaned, wait as long as possible and then get it cleaned by professionals.
